For those who missed out during the Biennale of Australian Art last year, this in a rare opportunity to witness 'Facing Up' – directed by local writer, researcher and performer Lynden Nicholls.
Facing Up is a live performance art project commenting on Prime Ministerial statements concerning the status and well-being of Australia’s Indigenous population from Federation to the present day. Issues such as land rights, citizenship and treaty are addressed.
The live performances will take place along Ballarat’s famous Avenue of Prime Ministers in the Botanical Gardens - bringing the statues to life.
Free of charge. Approx running time is 60 minutes.
