Exhibition:  The Flag of the Southern Cross: An Icon

THE FLAG OF THE SOUTHERN CROSS: AN ICON

The exhibition features a series of photographs by Peter Solness documenting the commemoration of the Eureka Stockade and the many ways in which the icon of the Eureka Flag has become a symbol through clothing, tattoos and its use as a political symbol by organisations including trade unions and bikie gans.  This series was created to mark the 150th anniversary of the Eureka Stockade in 2004. 

An Art Gallery of Ballarat exhibition presented at the Eureka Centre Ballarat.  

Eureka Centre open daily, 10am to 5pm.
