Local artists are set to take over the city streets during this year’s Winter Festival, using the canvas of our beautiful buildings to tell hidden stories. Six temporary artworks are being installed over the Winter Festival, between 29th June and the 21st July. Inside each work is a hidden message, music and animation, that can only be revealed through a smartphone.

The Activated Art Walk is designed to let us the coldest of the Ballarat winter, by reclaiming the laneways and streets and helping us see our city in a brand new light. The artworks can be enjoyed without a smartphone, but the simple act of downloading the EyeJack app and viewing the works means a brand new world opens up.
