Words Out Loud marks its last event of the year with the theme of "the dry season" on Thursday November 21.
Wordsmiths are invited to explore the theme or simply ignore it altogether.
This is a great opportunity to road test new material, celebrate a success or share some inspiration, or simply enjoy a diverse range of spoken word — poetry, prose or storytelling; read or recited; your own work or someone else’s. Performances are limited to 5 minutes each. Sign up on the night.
Held at the Printers Room at the corner of Mair and Lydiard streets, Ballarat, a welcoming stair-free space with full restaurant menu and bar available, as well as dinner special each month – enter from Mair St. Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, ending about 9pm.
Free, with gold coin donation appreciated.
