Participants will be shown how to hand-make rich coloured paints that are 100% pure, archival, UV stable and non-toxic. Learn how to apply this paint onto illustration prints from interesting cultural historic periods.
Be inspired by traditional, environmentaly sustainable paint recipes that have been used by many cultures for 1000's of years. This workshop is suitable for adults, both familar or unfamilar with painting.
All materials provided ... explore, discover ... and take home your own slice of history.

Using a diverse variety of haberdashery and old bottles and jars of all shapes and sizes, participants will be guided in creating and upcycling the products into beautiful table centres or vases.

This event features internationally recognised artist, Kate Just, who will introduce her practice and discuss how artists have deployed textiles to comment on social inequity and injustice, including from a feminist perspective. Kate will then chair a panel discussion with artists from our region who share in common a socially-engaged textile art practice.
