be hear now conference for music makers - 30 June - Past event

Examining the future of live music, the Be Hear Now Conference was the ultimate information source for musicians and music makers. This inaugural Conference was a chance for the regional music industry to meet, network and learn from one another – permitting valuable time for Ballarat music sector to introduce their work to the wider world.

But the Be Hear Now Conference offers more than just discussion. In this first-ever event for the city, the Be Hear Now Conference is daring to ask the hard questions about the future of the live music industry. A panel featuring the decision-makers in the music business, including representatives from Bandcamp, Sounds Australia, Music Victoria, Unified Artist Management will be asked the tough questions of the music-makers. How do you get your music streamed? What’s involved in going international? How do you get a festival gig?
