Opportunities

Linking You With Opportunities.

Our current open opportunities

From time to time we’ll have a range of opportunities, contracts and expressions of interest for makers, artists, creatives and producers. Simply select the current opportunity to review the terms and conditions.

Current training opportunities

A creative city is only as good as the training it provides. We want our creative sector to be up to date with correct information, and to resource them with relevant services. Check back here regularly to see the latest training opportunities.

Places to perform, sing, dance and create

Did you know that you can use loads of spaces around our city to busk, perform, make and create? We’ve made it easier for you to be able to entertain passing crowds in the CBD. Check out how to apply for a busking permit, and groups of up to four people can perform for up to two hours at a time.

Tell us about your creative venture, business or practice.

Sign up to our database to make sure you’re informed

City of Ballarat is pleased to have established a comprehensive database of creative businesses, artists, performers, makers and crafters who live and work in our city. This database is the backbone to helping create a sustainable creative core in our city, tracking the kinds of products people make, the classes they host, the music they perform, the businesses and practices they run.

By signing up to our database, you’ll be asked to provide information about yourself. You can receive our regular newsletter of activities, events and news. You can be invited to submit for Expressions of Interest, or find out first about potential contract opportunities that might exist in the city.

If you’re hunting for a great performer, maker, creative or problem solver based in the Ballarat region, then drop us a note and we might be able to put you in touch with a creative who matches your requirements.
